Involvement of Patient Care in Nursing Informatics

Nursing Informatics is a specialty where nursing is merged with Information technology. First, you must be an active nurse (RN, BSN). Most Nursing informatic specialist work in a hospital, but also it affords you other opportunities to work outside the clinical setting. Actually, there is no patient care involved in this specialty.

As a nurse, whose main job is to be there at the patient's bed side and do interventions that promote care, do you think that nursing informatics can affect you in rendering quality health care to the client?
