Nursing Informatics is a specialty where nursing is merged with Information technology. First, you must be an active nurse (RN, BSN). Most Nursing informatic specialist work in a hospital, but also it affords you other opportunities to work outside the clinical setting. Actually, there is no patient care involved in this specialty.
As a nurse, whose main job is to be there at the patient's bed side and do interventions that promote care, do you think that nursing informatics can affect you in rendering quality health care to the client?

yes, it can affect my quality of care but it does not nessessarily mean it decreases the quality of takinh care for the patients. at some point it lessens our role as nurses but on the aother hand it really helped a lot to making nursing services easier for a large number of patients. :))
